EMOTIONS


EMOTIONS
are states elicited by rewarding (+) or aversive (-) stimuli and their omission or termination.
FEAR
phasic escape or avoidance responses to distinct aversive stimuli.
ANXIETY
tonic response to diffuse aversive situations and is associated with conflict and uncertainity.
AGGRESSION
behaviour that is intended to cause harm or pain and can be physical, mental, or verbal.

actually i have a general idea about the whole thing, but i wanna knw about "fear phasic escape..."
can't really get it

honestly,i don't understnad the term "phasic escape" thoroughly.

but i guess, in the easy words,
"phasic" means muscle activity, combining both words,
phasic escape might be just meant to runaway(which involved muscle activity) from the fearful stimulus/i.

i would prefer "avoidance response" in the explanation of fear.
